girls camp

I arrived home from girls camp last Thursday, and I loved it so much. It was a little sad the last day because I realized that this was my last year as one of the girls. The older ladies told me I would be back again... I had to remind them the there is a difference between going to girls camp as a Young Woman and as a leader. They did agree with me on that fact. The week was fun none the less and we all had a blast, despite the "huge" bugs. I was named the "Official Spider/Bug Killer". A few funny moments was the night the other Laurel, Megan, and I were about to fall asleep and then the screaming and shouting started. The 5 girls in the other tent started to scream, well only 3 of them. Then I heard the funniest thing; one of the girls cried out "Jasmine, Jasmine! This is not a drill! Get in here!" It was so funny. So I walked over to their tent in my socks and with no glasses (smart I know...) and when I walk in I saw one girl running around with only a sweatshirt over her legs. The other girls were all huddling against the walls of the tent and pointing to a pair of pj pants, they belonged to the pantless girl (obviously). There was a spider on her pants so she couldn't put them on. So I was sent after the spot they were pointing (because I could only see fuzzy shapes). We finally killed the spider and all was well again.

Another funny story was when Megan and I were in our tent and we heard one of the girls telling everyone that she had to take off everything flammable because she was going to help cook dinner over the fire. What she really meant was that she needed to take off the fuzzy hat and boa she was wearing... but it was still hilarious to hear her shout "Take off everything flammable." We all cried the last night during the testimony meeting and wished the week would never end, even though it was incredibly dirty, hot, and the bugs were huge. We had a wonderful time and everyone got along fantastically.

Another fun fact for you... I am all registered for my college classes. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have Math, English, and a Dance class. Wednesday nights I have a Yoga class then a Study of Disabilities Class. It will be fun I am sure of it! Now all I have to figure out is if I want to find a new job or stick to with the one I have... hummm.

I received a funny email from Chris that makes me laugh to think about. I don't want to post it on here but if you really want to hear it I can Forward it to you. It sounds like something that would only happen to him. FYI this month is his and mine 1 YEAR anniversary (just so you
know, if you care).

I rode my bike to work again today. It makes me feel like I am some what helping the environment, saving money, and getting fit. I rode it further up the hill today then I have ever been able to before. So proud of myself. Hope I didn't bore you too much with my random life. ;)

So, so boring. Arg. Stop, you're boring me to death.

Oh, wait, no you're not. Tell more stories. But not about math class. You can leave those ones out unless they don't involve math.
